Blown Fibre Cabling at Trump International Golf Links

We were responsible for the challenging design and then installation of 10km of voice cabling and over 24km of fibre optic cabling within the prestigious Trump International Golf Links at Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire.

The fibre optic cabling was installed using the Emtelle Blown Fibre solution. This method allows single mode fibre cores to be ‘blown’ (using compressed air) to its destination through a microduct. This method of installation allows additional cabling to be added at a later date to keep pace with fast changing technological advances. This flexibility was particularly important to Trump International Golf Links, as further development of the facilities at Menie Estate was under consideration.  Cat6 network cabling in the maintenance buildings, site offices, the Clubhouse and exclusive Macleod House.
